Hammers In Hand

Woodshop Time With Dad!

What's dad building?

A gun cabinet for a guy he works with!

Not too shabby, eh?

Oh dear......

Just had to snap this---Daddy's stocking hat, pants on backwards, and Trevon's shoes--on the wrong feet....... would a psychologist say she's just not quite "happy with "herself?" :) :(

well---I'd say she's pretty happy with herself! :)

Christmas Morning Brunch

Ham, sausage enchiladas, hash brown potatoe, brie and egg bake, biscuits and gravy, Norwegian Julekake, an assortment of Starbucks pastries and cakes, pumpkin scones with cranberry butter, white chocolate cherry scones, fresh fruit with dip, cookies........YUMMY!:) (and thanks for your contributions guys!)

At one point Trevon brought grandpa his "model" Ferrari F50--he explained he'd found a "part," but wasn't sure where it came from--and he needed him to "fix" it for him. So grandpa took on the challenge! seriously!........
his reaction when he realized he was caught on camera?.......
(the final analysis was that "the car would run fine without it." Hmmm...how much will that mechanic bill be??:)

Recent Visitors!

Dehl, Holly and little Emily came and stayed with us from November 25 through December 3! We all had a great time--and the kids just absolutely adored each other!

And Grandma Jossi came for a few days too! (on her way to Chicago for work--but she came a few days early!)
the piano usually gets a little practice when she comes--and we love it!
The Ben Hur Chariot Race was one of my favorites growing up! Good to hear it again mom--and thanks for the music--you are my inspiration! :)

a few more of the kids

(don't mind Doug--he's just not ready for 3 kids!:)

Now For The Serious Stuff!

If you'll recall a post or two from awhile back, Doug got a "2 for 1 bargain" last spring which included a go-cart and dirtbike--but only one engine to use between them. Well, Doug's been having too much fun on the dirtbike to have any motivation to switch the engine to the go-cart---so he'd been keeping his eyes out for another engine--(but if you know anything about Doug it's gotta be good, and it's gotta be a "deal")! Well, just a few days before "engine-uitive" (and Daredevil) Dehl arrived--I happened to spot this "deal" in the classifieds---a self-described red-neck go-cart with a practially new 5 horse Briggs engine! So we adopted it, the guys gave it "heart surgery"----(or rather transplanted the engine into the nicer go-cart)----and away we went! And boys....wait til you see these photos..... away did we go!!

such serious business!

Boys and Their Toys!

Now, I'd like to REALLY introduce you to my dear bro, the boy.....who really hasn't changed much in the 28+ years I've known him......
Enjoy!:)

well, surprise!....sometimes when you do things like this....

things happen like this!.....but it's only those who fail to get up and try again, who truly fail....right?
(after watching this whole commotion for a short while (from the back of the pickup I might add!), Trevon decided Uncle Dehl needed the helmet he was wearing......:) and of course Uncle Dehl didn't refuse....

....he just added it to the commotion!! NOW.... let's see how it works with 4 wheels!

and some say a photo is worth 1000 words--well, these next few have to be worth at least that many (each)!!

and let's not forget---toys aren't just for boys!!!

Ya Hoo!
